Mrs Sonya Drake

Nursery Manager

Hi I’m Sonya. I joined the St Mellion team after managing another nursery within St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust for a number of years. I absolutely love working with young children and their families.

I have over 16 years’ experience of working with children from birth to 11 years and have worked in various settings across Shropshire before relocating back to Cornwall.

As well as a level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development I have a First class BA Honours degree in Professional Practice (Education) and I am a trained Level 3 Forest School Leader. My passion is working with young children within the outdoor environment.

Hello, My name is Luke and I have worked within St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust since September 2022.

I have worked within Key Stage One and EYFS classes. I have a passion for getting children to learn outdoors as I believe that it has so many benefits for their development in this crucial stage in children's lives.

I also hold a Level 3 Forest School qualification, which is beneficial to the outdoor provision of the nursery.
