As part of St Mellion C of E Primary School which is situated in the heart of the Tamar Valley, our nursery offers an exciting and adventurous learning environment, with a positive and calm ethos, and a warm family atmosphere which welcomes both children and families.

We have well-qualified, experienced, caring staff who enable us to provide the very best in early years education. The children are continually encouraged to explore new experiences, discuss and develop their interests and celebrate their wonderful ideas and cultural backgrounds.

A strong emphasis is placed on outdoor learning. Our morning sessions run from our wonderful outdoor nursery and afternoons are spent in our well resourced classroom.

During the outdoor nursery sessions, each child is encouraged and supported to explore, investigate and learn within the natural environment, regardless of the weather. For instance, we enjoy exploring the varying weather conditions, playing in the mud kitchen, using real tools, story time under the natural canopy, climbing trees, singing songs around the campfire and going on bug hunts!

The nursery is open from 8:00AM - 3.15PM Monday to Friday during school term time and we welcome all three and four year olds.
